Lost in Spa Garden City
Relaxing sounds, massaging hands and sunbathing bodies. A place free from work – could this be paradise? Together with three performers, Maciek Martios explores the possibilities and limits of a place where we proclaim freedom from work. But what does this mean for members of a society in which we define belonging, identity and our value as human beings through work? In which we equate employment with self-actualization? Spa Garden City is perhaps a utopian, perhaps a dystopian space that asks: who are you if you don’t work? Don’t get lost.
