Maciek Martios was born in Wrocław, Poland. Maciek studied theater directing (BA) at the Theater Academy in Hamburg, Research Master Literary Studies at Leiden University and Physical Theatre at Atelier für Physisches Theater in Berlin. Maciek has worked as a performer and director in various independent projects in Poland, Germany and the Netherlands, including Kampnagel, LICHTHOF Theater Hamburg and Imperium Theater Leiden. In 2022 his play “wie schrecklich wie geil wie frei” was shown at the Fusion Festival. Maciek conceives of performing arts as a ritual designed to engage both performers and spectators in transformative processes. Maciek lives in Hamburg.
