ABIKALYPSE* – better an end with horror than horror without an end
Outside: uprooted trees, birds falling from the sky, collapsed houses and fire – inside: warm breath on the back of your neck, a whisper in your ear, a cold shiver running down your spine. The apocalypse is approaching. And in the St. Pauli Theater, which is declared the last safe place on earth, an official school graduation ceremony takes place. But the community holds secrets: unfulfilled dreams, inscribed hierarchies and gossip make their way to the surface, and if everything is already coming to an end, why not kick some serious ass!!!
Between high school horror vibes, horsepeople of the apocalypse and the party at the end of the world, we ask ourselves what is inevitable in the face of death: The last burst of activism? Joy because the shit is finally over? Or escapism and partying? Celebrate with us the closing party at the end of the world and come in droves in your favorite 80s trash clothes. It will be colorful, it will be grave and it will definitely be absurd.
*the title is a wordplay of the German “Abi” which refers to the final high school exam and “Apokalype” – the apocalypse.
